it murder 2 is off the table by self defense, manslaughter must be because it is a lesser charge. the doubt that prevents the larger charge also prevents the lesser charge. because it’s the same doubt.
If the Jury has a question about instructions about manslaughter, it’s because their instruction did not include that their had to be proof GZ was the aggressor to discount self defense, the State did not meet that standard (prove GZ was the aggressor), Nor did the Prosecution prove GZ was not in fear for his life. Just my opinion: I think there is one holding out, and the rest are willing to aquit. Ultimately the Judge can choose to give no further instruction, but by virtue their was a question, there is doubt. I take it as a good sign for GZ.
