What don’t these jurors get about reasonable doubt. If they doubt 2nd degree they also have to doubt manslaughter.

EXACTLY!! Which is why the question about manslaughter makes NO SENSE..if they feel like Zimmerman had no regard for Trayvon’s life why not just give him 2nd degree murder..why even bother with manslaughter..Im thinking one buffoon on the jury wants manslaughter to appease the race baiters while the others want to acquit

You have no idea if the 2nd degree charge was an NG from all of them or they could not come to an agreement on the higher charge so they have moved along to the lesser charge to see if there can be an agreement on that.
This is my guess. If they found NG on 2nd degree they’d have to apply the same to manslaughter.

My guess is there was a deadlock on 2nd degree because a couple of even most thought it was too strong a charge, so they moved onto manslaughter to see if they can all agree on that charge.

Either way GZ is screwed because I don’t see a full acquittal. They’ll either compromise and convict on manslaughter or hang and mistrial.

Technically, that’s not the case. They could have reasonable doubt as to an element of 2nd Degree Murder that is not an element of Manslaughter; i.e. Zimmerman’s state of mind. Still, the self-defense issue IS the same, and should trump it.

Juries have been doing “nullification” (ignoring the law) for a long time, even before OJ.

They go off on whether they wanna give the guy a break. They play God. Jurors have gone unpunished so it is an epidemic. Violate their oath? Pfft

They may thing Manslaughter is a “break”

I wonder if the diets introduced any recent photos of Trayvon. A little matter media never bothered to tell us about, if thy even know. They just keep using his Cub Scout photo..

Right. The known facts would have to change to support the conviction of manslaughter. I'll give an example below that could support the conviction of manslaughter.

GZ was playing with his PF9 by twirling it in his fingers, but inadvertently and carelessly dropped it on the concrete sidewalk causing the hand gun to negligently fire a chambered round that struck Saint Trayvon in the chest mortally wounding him.

We all know nothing similar like this happened here. We hope the jury understands too.
