In several months, the political opportunity over, George Zimmerman will be forgotten. We are talking about leftist thugs, not people with long attention spans.

What I am more concerned about is Eric Holder, upon an acquittal, filing civil rights charges. That will start verything rolling again, with the trial likely getting started to sync with the Congressional elections.

I agree. DOJ doing a civil rights case is a perfect recourse as well as a civil trial against Z from the family, just like OJ had.

Federal civil rights charges are not an option because Mr. Zimmerman was not a "state actor " (government official).

OTOH, a civil suit by the Martin family is probably a given. However, I doubt Mr. Zimmerman has much in the way of assets remaining. The Martin family has already collected from the deep pocket - the insurance company.
