” They are Chosen and Christians are not.
Is that about it? Christians are substandard for accepting Jesus?”
Assuming you are not just stirring the Controversy Pot for fun, the fact is that G*d chose the Jews to be an example of the Law. Such achievements as the Jews have accomplished are due to following those laws. By the way, they can be used by anyone, with equal success.
One need not be a Jew to follow the Laws of G*d. What was good enough for Moses, and was followed by Jesus, simply works.
Islam is antithetical to, and irreconcilable with Jewish Law and the American Founding Documents because its premises are often more of the unholy than the Holy.
As a matter of fact, belief in G*d is not necessary to successfully live by the Jewish Law. One of America’s great gifts to Man was our placing as our first obligation the manner and free choice of how we relate to our Creator. Note the Founders used “Creator” deliberately.
In America, sectarian squabbles were present but never allowed power, as the sovereign citizen had that matter of belief to himself alone.
I’ll ell you the real reason Jewish children are better learners, as a group. When a Jewish child comes home, his parents (note “parentS is plural) do not ask ‘What did you learn?”. They ask “What questions did you ask?”
The assumption is the child was prepared and was able to discuss the lesson.
Worked for thousands of years, too.
Jesuits and the Penguins at the local schools didn’t do too shabby a job, either. All knew how to educate. It took Mann and Dewey to ruin American schools.
Sectarian issues are not important - purging the schools of collectivism is, IMHO.
YMMV.
