Indeed.

Welcome to the world of real math, a world which is dreamed of, but never reached - by members of the MSM and our congresscritters.

Is the only "green" aspect of electric cars the money some companies make off them?

Are any car companies actually making money off them?

Fill it with batteries and place charging stations every X miles. When they run out, simply stop for a day and recharge them. /s

A more responsible electric-car analysis would consider not just charging the vehicle, but also “the environmental impacts over the vehicle’s entire life cycle, from its construction through its operation and on to its eventual retirement at the junkyard.”

It's NOT just what comes out of the tailpipe... it's smokestacks in industries all over the world... Everything has energy signature - every component - every person paid - every transport along the way - even when we can't see 'em...

A useless battle. Facts simply don’t matter to Green idealists who live in Never-Never Land. To them nothing is impossible if only enough “other people’s money” is spent on it.

LOL, hey, we could go into business, by having bed and breakfast motels right next to the charging stations. We could secretly arrange for the charging stations to take 3 days to charge the batteries, thereby making more money. What do you think of that? -:)

I have never met anyone who owns an electric car that doesn’t love it. My Leaf is fun to drive. It is the most comfortable riding and quiet small car ever. I hope this is the future in automobiles. I also have a 2013 Ford Escape. It is also a nice vehicle. I just wish it was electric powered (with at least a 300 mile range). I don’t care how green or red the vehicle is. The technology has a future. The ICE has evolved all it is going to.

“Green” is mostly worse for the environment.

But globalism says that’s the way to go, so the socialist and activist thought leaders (in the pay of globalism) gin up the “herd” of socialists and activists to support “green”.

Easy. Simply only use solar or wind power generated at the station. None of that BS “solar credit” scam where nuclear, coal, etc. send the actual power to the grid, but you pay for some turbine to eventually catch up.

Suspicions CONFIRMED!

I am not an engineer, HST, I have long believed that the life-cycle cost to the environment of electric cars is far understated.

The ICE has a long life ahead of it!

"Facts simply don't matter"

The fact is that this is a year old story and there is a reason that the New American has re-birthed the story.

The story quickly faded last year when it came out because it was not accurate.

The author of the book clarified himself to say the issue was not whether or not the electric car was as green as some say, but that it is an error to think that electric cars are a solution to the environmental problems with cars.

Considering the number of cars in use plus the additional cars that will be put in use as more Chinese, Indians, Mexicans, Africans, etc drive cars, only a fool would think that electric cars are a solution to the problem.

But anyway, here it a year later and everyone has forgotten what author of the book was really saying so the New American has re-birthed the story.
