MIAMI (CBS4) – The Miami-Dade Police Department is partnering with local pastors in anticipation of the verdict in the George Zimmerman trial. From the pulpit of the Peaceful Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Miami-Dade Police Director JD Patterson preached peace Thursday evening.
“Riots are not acceptable and riots are not expected,” Patterson said.

Hung Jury: mass confusion and the circus continues, sporadic riots possible
Guilty of Manslaughter verdict: calm on the streets, conservatives all riled up, liberals feel content

I suspect that these pastors have far less influence in the black community than they used to. Since the police likely have a goodly number of black undercover cops as well as black informants, they should be able to get a good reading of not just the black community as a whole, but parts thereof.
For instance, there are black oriented music and dance clubs, that could be a font of information about what is going on. Likewise, the social networks, like Twitter, will be filled with what they are talking about.
The police should know well in advance if anyone is planning a flash mob attack.
No clue why, though. Nothing worth watching, and cable is way too expensive for most budgets, unless there is “ObamaCable” to go along with the ObamaPhone.
(Ack, shouldn’t have said that - will be picked up by the “whitehut” staffers as the next vote-getting freebie!)
IMO, no matter which way the verdit goes for Zimmerman, blacks will do what they do best. RIOT! They want a reason to celebrate. It will be worse than if they had won the Stanley Cup. they’re looking for ANY reason to raise some hell. (Man, it’s summa time and we be uneasy.)
