Odd, when I was a young Catholic and couldn’t eat meat on Friday, no non-Catholics joined in to make me feel better.

There's a reason for that: the non-Catholics knew that there was zero chance that your fellow Catholics would try to decapitate them or blow them up with a suicide bomb if they didn't join in to make you feel better.

The non-Muslims in this situation have no such feeling of confidence.

Amusing isn’t it?

The public school lunch was fish on Friday in deference to Catholics. Back when I was little. I never heard one person complain and there were many Jews and non-Catholic Christians in my public schools.
