How about they just close the gallery to the public and televise the proceedings. Problem solved.

Takes away the last semblance of a representative republic.

Um, the elected Representatives would still be performing their work and the public would still be able to watch them while they do. They are still free to write them letters, call their offices, etc. Opponensts of this bill can still run for office, buy television and radio ads stating their point of view. So in no way does my suggestions take away representative goverrnment.

Nowhere in the Constittution of the US or Texas is there a right to pelt legislators with urine, feces, and feminine hygiene products.

Granted, a lot of times I think there ought to be, but there isn’t at this time.
