He’s only got 2 USB ports and no input jacks, like my desktop, so USB it is. No other input ports on the lapper. I’d
have to get a docking station for him, and then I could hook-up one of my extra 505watt v5.21 SS systems. I need to keep it simple for him.

He has a Logitech clip-on, but the volume is faint and unadjustable, and his hearing (WWII) needs greater volume. I’m not a Sam’s Club member.

But I need to hear them, somewhere. I can’t find anything close and they don’t sell online. I’ll have to go to Plan B.

Any USB powered speakers are not going to be very powerful. Only about 2 watts maximum, I think. Does your dad’s laptop have Bluetooth by any chance? That might be the way to go. You can get some pretty decent Bluetooth speakers that are rechargeable or will run off AC power.
