Despite what people think of Ohio, it is a Republic.

I’m glad this is happening. Personally, I think we’d see very few attacks period, involving a gun or not, if the potential attackers knew they would be facing multiple armed people during their activities.
All these folks who supposedly want to die, go out in a hail of furry, sure don’t seem to feel that way once they’ve killed off twenty to thirty people.
Lets see how brave they are when they know they’ll be mowed down in the process.

You know?
There was a time when Ohio was the great frontier.
But it was also the ambition and holding of Connecticut.
The Connecticut Western Reserve.
I hate the Connecticut connection.
To close to England for me.
I would rather mingle with the Indians on the frontier.
Good on Ohio for holding to the roots of the frontier.

The Appalachians.

In rural Alaska, guns have always been kept behind the office door; teachers have the key to office. Reason? Come every May, the grizzly bear stroll up and down the road, walk through the village like they own the place, and are hungry as can be. You should see how a 2 year old bear looks kids over on the playground. Everybody thinks it’s quite prudent to have a 338 win mag behind the office door, and anybody who said different would be run outta town on a rail or worse, no joke, that’s reality.

In HS 1963-1967, we had a Rifle Team at the school, and would bring our 22s (my 1958 Mossberg 144LS; still have it), ammo, mags, cleaning kits, box of cotton for earplugs etc to school, and keep them in our hall lockers, under combination lock. The range was below the football field. Other students who had pick-ups, kept shotguns, deer rifles etc in the back window rack. No biggie, back then. I don’t ever remember a school shooting in the 60s, except for Whitman in Texas Tower massacre.

Yeah well that Tx A&M guy was a one off nut.
When I moved to Tx everybody had a rifle and a shotgun in the cab of the truck and bass boat on a trailer.
No Mas
All that stuff is legal but frowned upon now.
Where has my country gone?
