Did he actually push amnesty for the illegal invaders, that is, the parents? I was under the impression that members of the Texas legislature from both parties crafted a bill which was confined to giving illegal alien children who graduated form Texas high schools with the record required to go to a Texas university an equal tuition rate to the instate legal residents and citizens. Is that incorrect? According so Senator Cruz amnesty itself is not actually supported by the majority of Texans, even among those who came to Texas from Mexico. I would be interesting in knowing if Perry ever actually favored amnesty or a “path to citizenship” apart from the tuition break that was passed into law.
