I just started reading a book called “Stasi” which is a history on that East German “Security” Service.A review of the book that I saw said that 1 in 8 East Germans were Stasi informants and that spouses were encouraged to inform on one another as were parents and children.maybe I should be reading a history of the Dept of Labor instead.

One of my fratmates is a history prof at a known SEC school. He researched that every occupied and socialist country throughout history had snitches that ratted out their own citizens.
