No! The last thing the defense wants to do is to cause a mistrial and give the defense a do-over. They would stand a much better chance with an appeal.
Were I a juror, that would only make me dig my heels in harder. Then I'd sing from the rooftops on how the DOJ and the Obama regime tampered with the jury. No way I would be silenced. They'd have to shoot me dead.
There has to be at least one juror down there with some integrity. Yeah, yeah, I know. It is to laugh.

And when three or more weeks of a case have been oriented toward specific charges, it seems wrong to allow the introduction of any new charges after the prosecution and defense have rested their cases.

Since juries can ask for clarifications once they’re considering a case, wonder what this judge would do if they ask what the penalties are for manslaughter? It’s logical they’d want to know the punishment for a lesser offense they were told they could consider.
