But when Hannity asked if House Republicans would consider defunding Obamacare -- since efforts to repeal it have not worked -- Cantor's confusing response did not answer the question:

As Hannity points out, they do however have the power to defund Obamacare, but they will not.
As one has argued for years on these threads that the Republican Party must not rupture or our defeat and probable extinction will be assured, I have come to the end of my tether and declare that Lincoln had it right, a house divided against itself cannot stand.
Camtor, along with the rest of the GOPe, LIKES Obamacare. They WANT FEDGOV to be more pervasive.
They just think if they tinker around the edges that it will be all OK.
They ALL need to be gone. Each and every one of them.
I think it’s obvious that the litmus paper test for 2014 elections is a simple matter of how candidates answer this very question. Vote them all out.
Thank you for the post. The situation is far worse than any can imagine.
The GOP elites are co-opted and compromised across the board. They believe they can retain their positions of power, manage the ‘message,’ keep the mutually-assured-destruction dirt they all have on each other well under cover and avoid the Balkanization of the Republic. They can do none of these.
I know that at private dinners with donors, high net worth contributors are not just interrogated beforehand by staff, but specifically told there are topics they dare not bring up in the conversation (this is a fact for Eric Cantor). The topics were abortion, gun control and immigration in his case.
I have no doubt that the co-opting is achieved not so much by the blandishments of their position, but by: 1) Revelations from intelligence files held over the heads of the incoming congressmen and 2) Being let in on various secrets relative to just how bad the economic/geopolitical situations are - all supposedly necessitating a massive FedGov and cooperation with the Democrats. For example, the utter fraud that is Obama is known by virtually all in Congress.
My family will continue the constitutional struggle, but we are done with the GOP. Done. Unfortunately, the Republic is done as well.
Get out of the cities and prep. Now.

House Republican stammers; dog bites man.
If/when a Republican voices a firm opinion on something, anything, it’ll be news.
That's because the number one goal of all democratic and republican politicians is not to protect the Constitution, fulfill campaign promises, or do the right thing, etc., but to get re-elected. That is the one and only goal. I suspect that Boner and Can'tor don't want to defund Obamacare because they believe Obamacare is going to collapse on its own and that irrate voters who have suffered double and triple digit increases in their health insurance premiums or have lost their employer plans, will take their anger out on the RATs during the next election. On the hand, if the House defunds Obamacare, then House republicans will have to run for re-election against viscious attack ads that blame evil republicans, conservatives, the tea party, Gearge Bush, white males, etc. for killing women, children, people of color, and the poor by destroying the best health care program ever invented.
It’s time for us to stop casting Republican pols as victims of some nefarious plan involving secret files, etc. The fact is they are simply egotistical, arrogant, power-craving and selfish — much like their esteemed colleagues” across the aisle. Sure, I can believe that on a vote here or there, bribes or threats have occurred and succeeded. But no true American with a modicum of patriotism, in a position as they are to effect constitutional change, could see what’s happened to this country since ‘08 and keep cowering about some supposed dirt. Heck, they all clamor for reelection! No, the sooner conservatives come to grips with the truth that “our side” actually “isn’t”, the sooner we can coalesce and form an actual conservative party. It won’t change things in my lifetime, but maybe it’ll give my kids and future grandkids a fighting chance. We have to start somewhere.
The GOP has surrendered. They watch the demographic trends and Americans’ love affair with big government—and not one of them wants to give up his place at the trough.
There is only one party in Washington: The RE-ELECTION PART, dedicated to the personal enrichment of its members at taxpayer expense. Only citizen action can save our country now.
Lets stop this B.S. thinking repubs are our defenders, the are all part of the same beast. We have no one left including the courts in which we cango with our petitions to right what is happening. Only one thing left to do and the Declaration tells us what that is.
Eric DO NOTHING Cantor
Wanna see them all stammer and run away? Ask ‘em about the $120TRILLION in unfunded liabilities (AKA political promises).
I believe only R. Paul brought it up in the last election, one time...and it was summarily swept under the rug by all.
Their re-election, and BENEFITS, are the only things these jack-wagons care about. It’s def. not protecting our Rights (NSA, TSA, etc.) nor the Constitution (have ‘em try to cite the clause that gives the right to pass Law XYZ).
The Republic has been long dead. I think only now is the smell starting to make people take note.
