WASHINGTON - The D.C. Council has passed a bill that would require large retailers like Wal-Mart to pay workers at least $12.50.

The bill now goes to Mayor Vincent Gray for his consideration. The 8-5 vote was short of the votes needed to override a veto from the mayor

I lived for 12 years overseas working for US companies and paying ZERO income tax. One of the few things that still gives me a warm fuzzy is seeing that goose egg on line 28 of the 1040. Are you implying that you would not do the same if your could?

The USA is in a war for economic survival, and it’s time that big companies started pitching in.

Maybe it's time for the freeloading deadbeats that make up the base of the democRAT party to pay their fair share. What's fair to you? 10%? 15%? Name a rate, then apply it to EVERYONE!
