Police searched the Northern Virginia home of libertarian activist Adam Kokesh Tuesday evening and took him into custody, according to a news release posted on Kokeshs Web site.

We need to stand against this-—not because we agree with Kokesh’s politics.
But because the PTB are watching-—if we turn a blind eye to it because it’s happening to someone “on the other side”-—they’ll come after us, confident that when we are the ones being targeted, we’ll have given them the power and justifications they needed to turn on us.
Shame on us, if we allow that to happen.
Think. Typo.
You want to stand with an irrational drama queen Code Pink/communst/ANSWER affiliate nutcase who says he “could be gay” and hates those who oppose homoesxual marriage? Who set up the arrest specifcially so he could be arrested? Who’s either mentally disturbed or an agent provocateur or likely both?
Go right ahead.
...and any abuses of power committed against him can be committed against any Freeper here.
So? He invited and begged and demanded to be arrested - with drugs in the house, no less. Just because the fedgov is out of control like a fatal cancer is no reason to “stand with” a flaming nutcase liar agent provocateur poseur self centered drama queen! Unless you like that sort of thing.
I thought I’d seen you before. You were a raving nutter on this thread, too:

You really don’t like the realization that these same tactics will be used against Freepers.
Turn a blind eye to them now at your own peril.
...and those on the left will say Freepers were “just asking for it” too. Questioning Obama. Supporting the Constitution. Stockpiling firearms and ammunition.
Every time you give the State more power, it will be used against conservatives and Freepers.
That is the issue.
Justify it against him, now, and others will justify it against you, later.
You speak out against it not because you like the guy or think he is a Model Citizen, but because you don’t trust the govermment hydra which is making an example out of him.
Because when the beast finishes with him, he will look for others to devour.
You want to stand with a government which would do the same to you and other Freepers here the moment they are convinced they can get away with it?
That is the issue, as much as you attempt to scurry away from it.
Stats don’t have rights.
Individuals do.
States have powers.
Muddling the difference benefits the government and its employees, not yourself.
You are unfamiliar with the term ‘States Rights”?
Tsk tsk.
Carry on with your delusion, tar baby posters aren’t worth my time.
I am perfectly familiar with state’s powers and individual’s rights.
Those who confuse the two grant The State too much power.
I suggest you reread the tenth amendment and the Declaration of Independence.
You’ll have to draw your own conclusions, on an individual basis.
