Four people have been arrested in connection with two recent fatal shootings in Osceola County and 12 more random shootings, police said. Police officers are still looking for answers Thursday after a 17-year-old boy was shot and killed in Kissimmee.
Detectives now say a suspicious Fourth of July death is a homicide. According to police, Konrad Schafer, 15, said he used his father's high-powered rifle and killed 17-year-old David Guerrero because it would be "fun and cool." He said David Damus, 20, drove him around as he randomly picked out targets, police said.
"To think about the loss of a child at the hands of somebody that just thought it was fun, it’s just unsettling," said Kissimmee police Chief Lee Massie.
Guerrero was shot in the early morning of June 26 as he walked to the bus stop to go to work.

I really think this is due to the violence in video games. Kids play these for hours on end..and they become detached from reality..

I don’t know if it’s video games, movies or music. More likely it’s disconnected parents and schools. Parents that want to be friends and schools that refuse to teach right from wrong or respect.
Wait until he’s of legal age, then hang him. You have to discourage these sorts of things. I’m sure the kid thought that since he was a juvenile, he’d get a few years in prison at worst, then get out on parole. What good is he? Thought it would be fun to kill someone. Sheesh.
Forgive me if I assign this heinous attitude to our nation's acceptance of abortion, but I really do think there is a connection.

As an aside, the news said that the lead that broke the case was brought forward by a group of metal detector hobbyists that searched the last crime scene for clues and found the brass. Somehow they used that to track down the gun used. Not sure how yet or if that comment on the news was just FOS.

Sounds like Konrad Schafer is a POS sociopath. It’s a shame that the taxpayers will have to house, cloth and feed this POS for the rest of his life.

Sickening. No feelings whatsoever toward other human beings. I agree that the violent (and immoral) video games have much to do with this, but also disconnected parents and schools share the blame. Many of these kids early on have no sense of relationship or loving moral guidance and easily get caught up in all sorts of wickedness and then live it out. Seems like in positions of authority also, where there should be examples to look up to, there are instead many who abuse, hate, lie, steal, cheat, are injust and greedy, and so on. As a nation, we are in great darkness.
As individuals who know God through His Son, we must keep praying and keep proclaiming the truth of forgiveness from sin through the Lord Jesus Christ, the One the Father sent.
