It's one of the most highly anticipated films of the upcoming holiday movie season, though "Ender's Game" now has a considerable amount of controversy to go with the hype.
Geeks OUT has launched an online protest of the film due to author Orson Scott Card being an outspoken opponent of gay marriage. Called "Skip Ender's Game," the boycott urges potential audiences to steer clear of the film, which is based on Card's popular 1985 novel.
"Do NOT see this movie! Do not buy a ticket at the theater, do not purchase the DVD, do not watch it on-demand," Geeks OUT officials write. "Ignore all merchandise and toys. However much you may have admired his books, keep your money out of Orson Scott Card's pockets."
Geeks OUT is organizing a series of "Skip Ender's Game" events in New York, Orlando, Seattle, and other major U.S. cities to coincide with the movie's debut this November.
Orson Scott Card has been an outspoken opponent of gay rights for several years.

The only reason for “True Lies” being marginally better than “Avatar” was Tom Arnold. Scary to admit it, but he was the only part of that movie that worked.
There is the battle room and the Invasion of the Bugger’s System and Planet. Plus flashbacks to Mazer Rachham’s heroics in the 2nd Bugger War. The action is described rather quickly in the books but will get extended treatment in the movie or so I have read.
Rumors. I have not seen the Final Cut LOL. Just rumors I have read on various sites.
You want a quick summery of the book?
It is really a quick read.
You can read in maybe 5 hours, it is not a Lord of the Rings or Game of Thrones tomb.
Movie does not come out till November 1st.
“World war, kidnapping, explosions, gunfights, intercontinental chases, murder, starships fighting....seemed like a lot of action to me.”
Yeah, that too LOL.
In my first reply I was thinking of battle scenes but kidnappings, car bombings, gunfights, hand-to-hand to the death fights and intercontinental chases count as action too LOL.
Does this sound like godmaking gods to anyone else?
I'm still reading the book and it seems like a great story. The movie looks really good too. I simply urge everyone to do the proper worldview analysis and resist the propaganda.
I understand that “The Fifth Estate” about Assange and Wikileaks bombed completely over the weekend. Less than $2 million boxoffice from 1800 theaters.
