The Broward Sheriff’s Office, working closely with the Sanford Police Department and other local law enforcement agencies, has coordinated a response plan in anticipation of the verdict.
Freedom of expression is a constitutional right. While raising your voice is encouraged, using your hands is not. BSO has created a public service announcement with the help of kids from the Jason Taylor Foundation, H.A.N.D.Y. (Helping Abused, Neglected, Disadvantaged Youth) and basketball star James Jones of the championship Miami Heat team urging young people not to let their emotions get the best of them.
“We don’t have information about a specific event that might take place at the conclusion of the trial, but we encourage everyone to keep any protests peaceful,” Sheriff Scott Israel said.
Members of the BSO Strategic Investigation Division have been monitoring the pulse of the situation, maintaining open lines of communication with community leaders, civic activists, members of the clergy, as well as local, state and federal agencies.

Not from me. But there are a couple here who don’t believe riots will follow.
However, I doubt those who think that way will take a scenic drive to the
minority part of the town they live in to “test” their no riot theory, if Z is
aquited.
It’s always interesting to me to observe on TV video how quickly angry,
agitated rioters transform into happy and satisfied rioters as they run
away from a store with a big, boxed, free HDTV or X-Box.
Really, Sheriff, no information? Check out twitter. There are plenty of threats to murder and riot.
I wonder what will happen when the cops see what Zimmerman saw.
That’s the most ammo I’ve seen on any shelf lately. The last two I stopped at had a few boxes of 12 and 20 gage bird shot.
Keep one in the chamber and keep your powder dry!

What the State gives, it can also take away. My guess is if the situation gets real nasty as it is likely to, the Governor will announce a state of emergency, and “suspend” all those CW permits. Fork in the road for many law abiding citizens.

I'd bet those boxes are some of the obscure cartridges, and the empty slots were the more common rounds.
Sanford is located in Seminole County, five counties away from Broward. This implies that the police and Sheriffs are wisely figuring that any riots will likely not be in suburban Sanford, but in more urban parts of the state, where there are concentrations of “potential rioters”, if you know what I mean and I think you do.
And the best way to keep protests peaceful is for the protestors to know that the authorities are ready and able to crack down hard if they turn riotous.
Word should get out to other places around the US that have a potential for riot that the civil and police authorities have had fair warning, so if there are uncontrolled riots, the civil and police authorities will be blamed for it.
How about “Obey the law or we’ll shoot you where you stand” ?
Anyone have an idea when this might go to jury deliberation ?
Seems to me if they are that worried is to deploy a couple hundred of those FEMA Urban Assault Vehicles armed and witb a few hundred thousand rounds of Ammo they have and they could cure a whole lotta issues at the same time.
I’d let them know ahead of time that Section 8 housing unit calls would be handled last and if destroyed they would most likely Not be relocated anywhere north of Las Vegas or east of the Paco.

Interesting thought. I live in KY (we are open carry), but have a CCDW. When I took the class our instructor told us that even though he worked for the utility company & it was against policy for employees to CC, he did carry when sent into particular areas of the city. He felt that his employers could not demand that he work in those areas and not be able to protect himself. Obviously, they didn't know he was doing it.
Isn't Florida open carry? Regardless, I suppose the cops would come down on you hard if you openly carried where Holder's People could see you.
Why didn’t they have Zimmerman scream his head off again in a demonstration tape, and then play both and ask Mrs. Traydmark which one was her son?
I’d bet the clothes on my back that friends/family of the jurors have told them of all the stories about riots.And that’s exactly the way Attorney Corporal Holder,the State of Florida,the so called parents of the gangsta punk...and their lawyer...want it.
