smarter government

An oxymoron like "gay rights.

What he really means is doing everything he can to eliminate all this needless "separation of powers" and "limited government" nonsense and streamline the federal government so that when it wants to commandeer something (like your rights) or come after you for not acquiescing, it can do it quickly and efficiently

‘Smarter government’ requires lots and lots of turnover, strict term limits, and preventing career politicians as much as possible. Among other things, this ensures that people elected to public office have other skills and expertise that they use to support themselves.

"Smarter" as in with a photographic memory of everything anyone has ever said, written, downloaded, tweeted, or updated. Where they have traveled, what they have bought, when they were where, whom they were with, what pictures they took. What doctors they have seen, what they have told their therapist(s), what medications they receive. Everything. That kind of smarter.

We don't want it smarter we want it SMALLER. Private business can do anything the Government does cheaper and smarter, with the exception of the military. Even the FAA can be privatized, follow Canada's example.

Smarter government would only happen if he resigned (and took Biden with him). That would up the IQ of the government by many points.

Technology is neither smart or dumb. It is a force multiplier. Improving tech in govt, will only multiply its stupidity.

If you want smart govt., How about we replace the stupid people with smarter ones ?

So we are to expect somehow lying lawyers (redundant I know) will somehow know enough about technology to improve government?

Where have they been during a time when, the department of energy has not generated a watt of electricity, the department of education has not educated a single student, the border patrol has allowed 10, 20, 30, 40 million (pick your favorite number) criminal trespassers to sneak into this country, the state department has never solved the Israel vs the camel jockey conflict, ...

The fact we even allow lawyers in government and expect solutions to exist, proves we are completely willing to accept excessive mediocrity.
