Well no, but this is a very sophisticated aircraft. There were other approaches to the same runway that give precision vertical guidance. Are you aware of any reason not to have been flying one of them?

True the FMC is loaded with approaches. A simple RNAV with vertical guidance, basically a built in glide slope. But loading this and briefing at the last minute would be difficult. Too close to the final approach fix to scramble. The inability to fly a simple visual approach is disturbing. Too much reliance on autoflight features of the new airplanes has eroded the stick and rudder skills of all pilots.
