Should be: Democrats are concerned that the proposed changes will make it harder for many poor voters and members of minorities - who tend to vote Democratic - to cast their ballots multiple times or to vote for others or to vote when they are not qualified to do so!!!

BTW, just by seeing the article's headline on my "Pings" page, I guessed correctly in advance of seeing the source that it was from the New York Slimes. Their headline writers have a unique style which one can "smell" from a distance.

Among the states which were previously covered by the preclearance requirement of the Voting Rights Act, most had tended to vote GOP in statewide elections in the recent past. The key states in which the GOP may be helped by tamping down on fraud and cheating with voter ID laws will be Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, and possibly Arizona.

It wasn’t a coincidence that every state that had ID voter laws went for Romney, those that didn’t went to Obama.
