Please Lord ... hear our prayers.
According to the article there were injuries. Any more recent updates?
The b,c,d,e,f team is in on the MSM. I don’t believe a word they say.
According to Drudge, everyone got out.
Prayers for those on board, their families and the first responders.
Credit to the crew for a quick evacuation..
looks like fire was localized initially so folks may have had some time to skidaddle..
no new updates on injuries yet..
...wow looks like he came up short on approach...check this....stream:

Other than that the flight was uneventful.
Short on approach at SFO...wouldn’t that plop you into the bay?
Depends on wind direction I would think
hard landing + excessively high AoA = tail knocked off; landing gear failure one side.
thats my armchair guess absent any and all facts.
Yes, it looks like the plane came in at an high angle of attack and the tail section hit the breakwater and the start of the “runway” if you will and it broke off the airplane. There is a debris field from just in the water to where the plane ended up. Amazing if everyone got off the plane with no one being killed.
There may have been a power loss and the pilot was trying to make landfall no matter what. Looks like he just did with no room to spare. A 100’ shorter and the whole plane would have been in the water and slammed into the breakwater.
Wonder if that's where the tail section is. Wonder if they caught a nasty downdraft.
I''ve had two scary flights in SFO where the plane was bouncing and slewing right up to wheels on tarmac.

Why as the top of the plane blown off in a horizontal crash landing and why do eye witnesses claim they heard a “loud boom” before the crash?
And in related news, a train carrying crude oil derailed today and nearly wiped out a small town just over our border in Quebec....
An eyewitness who was watching plane landings from his hotel balcony, saw Flight #214 come in for a landing. He heard a “loud pop” followed by a “fireball.” Then, the tail fell off sending the plane cartwheeling. He described a wing coming off, which did not happen. However, was the rest of his description accurate? Did a bomb go off?
