Currently just Tweets and locals talking about this, nothing on news sites yet. Lots of stuff in the Twitter feed, including links to uploaded videos of the smoking mess.
Uhhh....not a chance.
However, I assume at least half the passengers will swear it was.
Could be, but then again because of high fuel costs, the airlines have not been running the big jets with full fuel tanks.
I believe that was after the crash... They were telling everybody else in line to go around.
'Nuff said.
"....these are called tail trikes...."
Oh yeah, you can get lots of tail on your trike.
Good ol' reliable GLBTA crowd!
I heard someone say not all are accounted for. .
It seems that over 60 people are unaccounted for.
Boy, I just don't think so, Elliott. It looked to me, from several views, that the rear pressure bulkhead was in place and intact. If so, those stews found some other way to exit.
I zoomed way in, still cannot see an aircraft landing nose-high. The smoke/dust going to right of circled area would be what I conclude possibly to be post-incident.
That bulkhead is tore wide open.
Uhmm. .where the hell did they go? If they’re uninjured then wouldn’t they end up on the all is well list? If they’ve been taken to hospitals even if no ID at least they’d be John Doe.
Odd.
I was #3 waiting for departure in Charlotte NC back in 1995 or 96, when that US Air flight was pounded down from a takeoff into a thunderstorm downdraft. They made it to about 250’ AGL and in a climb attitude, just came down like a rock doing 140KTS in a slow roll to the west off of a south departure. There wasn’t much left that looked like an airplane. I think it was a 737 if my memory serves me correctly.
Very true, and they pray the entire flight which is really nice to see..and when the plane lands everyone yells MAZEL TOV
The only conclusion is (in my opinion) their bodies are still in the aircraft as the result of the fire.
What other scenario could there be?
Dunno. Just repeating what the fire chief said.
In the helicopter video I saw the rear pressure bulkhead was stretched/distorted and ripped open on the bottom. The passenger interviewed was sitting near the rear and he indicated that crew in the rear jump seats that were ejected way back on the runway weren’t immediately noticed by rescue personnel.
Nineteen years almost to the day. I’d just walked home from our church. Oh, blackdog, what a horrible thing for you to see.
Which is interesting because usually at that point the dust has not settled from the incident yet. BUT, these officials somehow know with certainty that terrorists were not involved.
Chances are 99.99% of these accidents are indeed NOT terrorist caused BUT making an uniformed announcement does not fool any "thinking" person. Its just soothing words to keep the Sheeple happy.
” The passenger interviewed was sitting near the rear and he indicated that crew in the rear jump seats that were ejected way back on the runway werent immediately noticed by rescue personnel.”
Not too mention what happened with all the gear in the rear of the aircraft, the galley’s, etc... In addition, 777’s have a large center overhead. What did that do in the back, in this kind of an impact?
