They've hated the MB since Nasser and their having a hand in assassinating Sadat made it a sure thing that they'd be wiping them out sooner or later if they could ever identify 99% of them like they had when Nasser first went for their throat. They know now that their only mistake back then was keeping them in prison or deporting them rather than killing them all. Now that the MB is clearly transnational that's exactly what I think they'll do. Kill every one of them who doesn't manage to make it out of the country toward the South where they have allies.

In addition, I have several Copt friends who are now American citizens and came here not long after the Yom Kippur war. They stay in touch with their families in Egypt but most of their kin folk back in Egypt are elderly now. I spent some time in Iran but never Egypt so I admit my knowledge is second hand which is why I called it a guess.

I don’t believe the Muslims can win, but if they do, “Katie bar the Door” they will run wild killing Christians and stoning women not wearing Burka’s.
They are not going to kill every one of them and any such expectation is wishful thinking.
The real question is can they weaken or outlaw them as a national force. Obama is already pushing for the MB to be respected.
