With access to water, fires in cities are more easily contained. Wildfires, however, can and do get out of control. The 2003 wildfires in San Diego for example burned 1500 structures and took 15 lives. There is no fire in a modern city going to do that.

And I don't believe them either. But radical islamists have made similar threats and should they one day follow through they could cause a lot of damage and take many lives.

You may be right. Not being a fireman, I’m not sure, but i would love to see a City fireman and a country fireman chime in.
