It certainly sounds like them, if not it's a copy of Sgt Rock.
For those not familiar, David is a rock guitarist who has had at least two TV gearhead series - 'Trucks' and 'GearZ', and Sgt Rock was one of his vehicles.
Sgt Rock is a '41 Dodge military 4x4...a verryyyy big pickup...with twin 50's mounted in the bed, firing propane...very high rate of fire, very loud, awesome.
On the other hand.....
Back in '67 I was working in Walled Lake, about 40 mi. N of Detroit. Riots started on Sunday, by Wed it was supposedly calmed down, so two buddies and I decided to tour the area in my '66 Coronet conv. Was pretty neat for a while, a couple of spooky/scary things, several fires burning, all in all not too bad. Then we somehow got around roadblocks and ended up driving down the length of TWELFTH STREET....HOLY SHITE...very crowded, we were the ONLY white faces around, bullet holes and burned buildings everywhere, about halfway down we heard a 50 cal burst two or three blocks away. When we got to the end of 12th there was some Airborne units there, we asked why they weren't back yonder and their reply was 'it ain't safe to go in there yet'.
So, maybe Sgt Rock would be a cool truck to drive around in on the Fourth, just maybe in a different town.
Oh - my buddies and I did NOT return to Detroit again.
