The title of this thread is Tell the House to KILL the Senate's Immigration BILL

I think the House will stop the senate bill on the first pass, but they are working on their own House Comprehensive Immigration Whopper in the House Judiciary Committee, and that fact could resurrect the Schumer Republicans' amnesty plans. Trey Gowdy, chair of the Immigration and Border Security said his "conservative" constituents are "open" to a path-to-citizenship if "the border is secured." Gowdy: My CONSERVATIVE constituents say if border secured, then maybe a path to citizenship for illegals

I hope Gowdy eventually does the right thing. But remember in 2007 when amnesty pushers kept telling how hard they had been working on amnesty? To some congresscritters, spending time on a bill makes it more worthy of passage.

If Gowdy's constituents really want that

1) Even though he has been a strong anti-Obama voice up to now, I wonder if he is the right person to chair Immigration and Border Security (but if he is replaced Boehner could put in somebody even more "open" to amnesty).

2) If you are his constituent, tell him what you think. I have called his office but I am not in his district. Hell, I feel like I am getting the runaround from my own GOP congressman's staff.

I've had some good conversations with my congressman's office. They have listened, appear (I know, I know) to agree with me, say the congressman agrees with me, but.....

We HAVE to continue to let them know we understand the process, that no bill can be brought forth that could reconcile with the Senate bill. No bill, it's not necessary, most US voters don't want this.

Our guy's staff has been very helpful, I have to say, at this point I believe them. It's been encouraging.

Trust but verify. It's why I continue to call, and continue to write.

The Rep Establishment is preparing to sell us out. They want that doubling of the guest worker program so bad that they will concede almost anything to get it, including amnesty. The corporate masters own both parties, but the GOP needs them the most in terms of political contributions.

Be prepared to see the Reps proclaim that the border security problem has been solved. No one is focusing on what is in the rest of the bill. Over the next ten years 33 million more permanent immigrants, more than the previous 40 years combined plus a doubling of guest worker programs--an increase of 1.6 million the first year and 600,000 thereafter.

Thank you so much for that link.

Gowdy should know better.

The border will never be secured under this admin.

I post “KILL the Senate’s BILL” on Gowdy’s Face Book every day.
