Actually, when asked how tall Trayvon was, the coroner replied -—the autopsy report says 5’11”—. That was a strange response IMHO—there is likely some reason he didn’t say —Trayvon was 5’11”.
Perhaps because the coroner himself didn’t do a height measurement?
He’s already distancing himself from his report
Muscles contract when rigor mortis sets in, compressing the spinal discs and making the person shorter. Using the autoposy measurement minimizes the height difference between GZ and Trayvon. The Trayvon Martin GZ faced was likely a couple of inches taller than that.
It may simply be that Bao doesn’t want to misquote from memory. I do the same thing with documents I am VERY familiar with - I always check the source because my memory sometimes sucks.
Not sure if that’s the case here, but...
