Why did we name our beer Samuel Adams?
He signed the Declaration of Independence, etc., etc., etc.
Tag line:
We're AMERICANS, we BOW to no KING!
TOPICS: Culture/Society
KEYWORDS: independenceday; samadamsbeer
Truer words were never spoken,
AMERICANS bow to no king.

It’s a great commercial. And a pretty good beer.

Is that the one where they alter the words from the Declaration? eg, omit “Creator?” NO THANKS! if they want to use that Sacred Document for commercial purposes, have the decency to use it as is. If it is against the so-called beer marketing code, then use a different quote. Their excuse was lame. I turn my back on them. See the other threads.

Yes it would be preferable if he’s said “endowed by their Creator” But being endowed implies and endower.

All I want is a confirmation about the statement, and I’ll forgo better options for “pretty good” for one month.

Yeah, I noticed that, too. I like Sam Adams, but not that much. I emailed and told them as much.

“a pretty good beer.”
Only if you really love the taste of yeast. I could get the same satisfaction from drinking Bud and snorting a package of dry yeast.
