I wouldn't put it past Valerie Jarrett to commission a little "Pelican Brief" action to clear the way for the two judges she has "ready to go."

Nor would I. Hell, she might do it herself.

Seems to me that her replacement will be a continuum of liberalism, then. Even if a GOP-e somehow gets elected POTUS.

Why, what’s the difference between liberal POSs of whatever age?

She might be a liberal POS, but she's still Jewish enough that she does not want a Muslim Brotherhood sympathizer to pick her replacement.

I wonder if Hillary would prefer this position than being president.

A lot of liberal Jews would not be bothered by such an eventuality.

“Why, what’s the difference between liberal POSs of whatever age?”

At 80, we only have the liberal POS for a couple of more years.

At 40, we have the liberal POS on the bench for 40 more years.

Big difference.

It is a tradition that all federal judicial vacancies in an presidential election are held off until after the election.

No offense, but do you really believe that Barack Obama, AKA Valerie Jarrett, feels constrained in any way by "tradition?"

"leader of the Supreme Court's liberal anti-contitutional wing"
Ha! Kennedy is the only liberal on the court.

Ginsburg and her 3 cronies will vote for anything that weakens us and strengthens the federal government whether it's liberal, conservative, fascist or whatever.

What I would like to see is Scalia, Alito, and Thomas resign en masse.

We need to get rid of this charade that somehow the Supreme Court is the last hope to support the conservative agenda.

We will need to have a better reason to vote for Christie over Clinton than who will appoint Ginsburg's successor.

Let Obama appoint our three worst nightmares. Let them all be gay, leftist, ecofascists.

We need to have the heat turned up. We need to force a confrontation with reality.

This slow boil hasn't worked for quite some time.

Obama would nominate himself chief justice, if he could get away with it.

He has already nominated himself mahdi, king and pharaoh..

Only to be replaced by another liberal POS.

For the liberal to be replaced by a conservative, we’d need a conservative president plus a plurality of conservatives (not RINOs) in both houses, to put a stop to Borking.

She will wait for the results of the 2016 election. If a Democrat wins, she will stay on. If a Republican wins, she will retire immediately so that 0bama can appoint her successor.

I never figured out what Ruth Buzzi Ginsberg is up to.

There was a real threat that Obama could lose his reelection battle, yet she did not give him a chance to replace her falling asleep ass on the bench.

Either she really loves loves loves her job, or she doesn't want Obama selecting her replacement. I have no idea why. She's a potted fern at this point.

The problem is that Republication presidents can appoint able conservative Supreme Court judges but after X number of years living in the Washington DC goldfish bowl they let their hair down and go native. It’s a variety of Stockholm Syndrome. They become more liberal to be more in tune with DC plus more in tune with the liberal media headquartered there starting with the Washington Post

Justice Scalia and Justice Thomas have resisted this pressure

Have so little respect for the SCOTUS for the harm they have done to the country, it hardly seems important. You can can count on them to do the wrong thing.

But, if she retired in November 2016, it could provoke a huge confirmation battle, depending on the results of Senate elections that year.

While Obama will be president until Jan. 20, 2017, I could imagine the GOP filibustering any nominee of his selected in November 2016, until a new GOP president was in office to pick the replacement for Ginsburg. That is, if the GOP had stones to go to battle over this.

If I recall correctly, in 1968, there was a filibuster of a Supreme Court justice nominee, as the vacancy happened shortly before the presidential election that year. And it was justified based on waiting for the results of the presidential election, and allowing the new president to make the choice.

Hang on for the new president, or rather, our next real president.

Or, instead of retiring, just die.

Thanks Perdogg.
