These particular liberals aren’t excited about Obamacare, because it isn’t single payer, government operated healthcare. These liberals object to the fact that we still have privatly owned hospitals and healthcare providers, and that doctors are still independent business men and women. In their utopian world, everyone connected with healthcare would be a government employee or government bureaucrat.
I don’t understand these people. What does she have to worry about. She will just pay out of pocket if something isn’t covered. I don’t care that she made her money by singing and making movies. She deserves every penny. However, those of us who were not born with that type of gift are going to have to forgo some coverage and tests with medical if this Universal Health Care goes through.
What do they care anyway? Just like in the UK, the wealthy won’t be sitting in waiting rooms with the peons anyway. They’ll be forking out for private.
It amazes me that these “defenders of the people” always want to squeeze the rest of us into a little box as if we’re their own little science project to experiment with, while holding themselves above being told how to live in any way.
