IIRC, the formal
"Church of Satan" does not really worship any deity, most of the members are plain agnostic or atheist. They basically worship the individual as a god. They also believe in the protection of children, weak and animals although if attacked, they will respond with fury. For the most part, they are uber-contrarians, just picked the name to show that and generally as a tool so they will not be bothered. This is just for the official church, I'm sure there are others who DO worship Satan so your mileage may vary. The Church of Satan reminds me a bit of what a Klingon religion would be like.

I do not endorse the Church of Satan at all, just posting this for info as an insight to their actions.

The Church of Satan reminds me a bit of what a Klingon religion would be like. That reminds me a bit of the description of the the Orcish religion (such as it is) from the gaming supplement "GURPS Fantasy Folk" by Steve Jackson Games:
"Orcs aren't sure who or what the supreme being might be, but they know he has it in for the Orcs, and someday they'll get him for it..."

They basically worship the individual as a god. They also believe in the protection of children, weak and animals although if attacked, they will respond with fury I have met a number of satanists and pagans over the years (I do not support or endorse their beliefs, just their right to believe it) and this follows with what I have seen as well.
Some (not all) of them are the strongest pro-life / anti-abortion advocates you would want to meet.
