Well, to each his own. That's what makes our country great, varying views and ideas and the freedom to express them.

The were no immigration quotas until the 1920's. America was always about the benefit of individual freedom and the understanding that individual freedom is the cornerstone to a healthy and happy society. On that basis, there was a welcoming spirit generally although there has always been those who out of fear or prejudice didn't like the next wave of immigrants. But we ARE a nation of immigrants and we became a good and strong nation built on the freedom of immigrants to live and build their lives as they saw fit.

As you so rightly suggest, to each his own but I would remind you and everyone writing on this subject, that a country - any country, can only absorb so many legal immigrants in a specific period of time (say a 12 month period) but never coherently absorb masses of illegal invaders who come without permission, live with their own set of standards, language and always within the shadows as it is virtually impossible to report a crime, when you are the criminal.

No country's citizens should be forced to absorb masses of people, especially invaders who demand a "share of that nation's wealth, i.e. earnings and savings,"merely because some guy or gal who had the good fortune of getting elected, claim so.

No citizens should tolerate its leaders who force them to care for the illegal invaders. Those same invaders should never, ever be given citizenship and the vote!

The leaders who insist on doing just that need to be forced from power, no matter what it takes.
