There were some good places in NYC for pizza, when I worked there, back in the 70s and 80s. Each joint had 5-10 Goombahs right off the boat, who made KILLER deep-dish Sicilian. I always got *everything except anchovies*, and they cringed. Mama mia, that's a crazy meatball!

I'm listening to Mark's replay, since I got in late. My Jeep's AC went warm on the way home. Dad was following in his new MB. What a sweet luxury car. At 89, he's got a 4" thick Owner's Manual to read and study, and learn all the electronic gadgets & gizmos in that thing. Boggles the mind all the doo-dads & doo-hickeys they got in them now!

I had a MB '55 300SL Gullwing back in the early 70s, in Miami; crude but very fast. It was a people magnet, too. It drew crowds, not only at the Concours D'Elegance Shows, but everywhere I drove it. No AC and it was afall-winter-spring ride. Too damned hot in the summers.

Also had a MB 300SL Roadster Convertible; much more refined touring and not quite as fast. It was my personal Show cars in Miami, along with 300SL Gullwing Coupe at numerous Concours Events and track days at Homestead AFB during organized and sanctioned events on the runways. We scrubbed-off a lot of rubber on those runways at 180-190mph in Vintage Events. The blew most of the field away. Heady days and years. If I told you what I bought them for, cost of restoration to 96%, and them sold them for, you'd have to be laying down on a gurney, strapped-down.
