Must have been not just me. Within a month you hardly ever see anyone at that station...Americans aren't as stupid as some think. Our money goes where it is appreciated...
another station in town now has a line up for gas and coffee. The girls worked there for a while and then went to another station in the next town owned by the same guy that people are using now.....This is a small town of about 4000 people...If the first station was the only one in town, I'd drive to the next town about 8 miles down the road...idiots think they just take our money and give us crappy attitude.....Not great business men....LOL
I know exactly what you mean; the Quicky Marts the Asians replace the mechanics’ bays with are hardly “friendly” (though they are used more to sell cigarettes or lotto tickets - coffee drinkers usually go to a Dunkin’ Donuts or a bagel shop). All of our air pumps now cost $.50 or $1; so much for “air is free”.
Because many of them are “unbranded” gas stations I don’t go to them anyway; they’ve been in the news here selling watered-down gas (using the excuse that the delivery drivers leave the caps off the underground tanks). They still had to fix the cars, though.
Maybe a lot smarter than we think.
Could easily be a middle eastern money laundering outfits storefront. No need to make money there, as the real money simply flows through books, and not the till.
It they really don't have any customers, that would my guess, and if I didn't think the NSA was somehow aiding them.............
