Which would be a lie because we already know the first responding cop had his hands all over it. I'd be amazed if Zimmerman's prints could have been lifted from that gun.

That would be my guess. Tim Smith grabbed it and put it in his belt. If his DNA wasn’t found on it then why should Martin’s have been on it. If his DNA was found on it then it in all likelihood would have contaminated Martin’s.
