Today, July 2nd, is DAY #17 (of 4th week) State of Florida V. George Zimmerman case.
Today Detective Chris Serino will be back on the stand. [Yesterday ended] on the stand with Chris Serino, who was the lead investigator for the Sanford Police Department on the Trayyvon Martin shooting.
Defense counsel Mark O’Mara led cross-examination with his usual consummate skill, obtaining responses from this witness–remember, the State’s witness–that all but completely guts the State’s charge in this case.
Among the key revelations so far: Zimmerman was always completely cooperative, open, and straightforward with all the police investigators over many weeks of multiple interviews, both in person at the police station and phone. IMO, Jeantel destroyed the State’s case with her surly attitude toward the defense (when she said “that’s retarded” to O’Mara, I was stunned). On top of that, she looked like an wild and unpredictable beast.

The ONE witness I want to watch for hours, and they’ve already dismissed her.

Add that to the fact she said TM told her he was right by his dad’s gf’s apt at the time, then she heard TM breathing heavy, and then confront GZ. TM was found dead back toward GZ truck and over 70 yards from where he was suppose to be staying with his dad. Clearly TM ran back to confront GZ with a punch to the face.
This can actually help the defense. If the jury already likes the defense they will think the judge is bing unfair to them.
What was the value of the “Latent Print” expert?
They found the slim jim in the area where Treyvon went to hide. Sarino admitted to it. It was a few days after the incident though....
They found what O’Mara called a slim jim behind the bushes of the Manalo residence. The prosecution claims it was part of the awning. No mention of prints.
What I read was the he was involved in/and or videotaping street fights.
Or gang initiations. Something like that.

Yes...one of the most compelling bits of info...I’m hoping and praying that the jury “gets” the significance.
We can only hope the defense will highlight this obvious stream of events. Mister No_Limit_N....r himself was fixing to put a beat down on Zimmerman.
