Egypt's top general, Abd al-Fatah a-Sisi, warned President Mohammed Morsi that he had 48 hours to resolve the crisis in Egypt. If he did not, the army would "intervene." The army would expect Morsi to lay out a road map of steps he plans to take to "satisfy the will of the people," and restore calm; otherwise, he said, the army would take control of the country. Hours later, the army insisted in a second statement that it was not carrying out a coup, and said that it would not be part of the government, according to Al Jazeera.
Oh he’s always talking. He can’t shut up. Just read where he is defending his spying on the Europeans. If he’s asked I’ll bet he would say just what I posted - it’s a democratically elected Eqypt, we support the people of Eqypt etc and some such nonsense. he doesn’t have to get into personalities since they had those rigged elections. Piece of cake for a professional liar like him with no shame.
When I saw that picture of him in Mandela’s jail cell, I had a moment of hope...that somebody would close and lock the door.
The Army is very tipped over because Brig. Gen. Mohamed Hani was shot dead by unknown gunmen in El Arish in the Sinai last Saturday.
It is believed that militants connected to Morsi are behind the assassination, trying to weaken and demoralize the General staff.
Thanks gandalftb.
