This is the most frightening case I have ever witnessed.
Normally I am on the side of Prosecutors in criminal cases. In this case I see the prosecution on a witch hunt to destroy a man because he's the wrong color. He was supposed to be white, which would make it easier, but he had a white enough name that they could turn his clear act of self defense into a racial hate crime and hang him because he is not the politically correct color.
Honestly, judging from Martin's facebook and twitter activity and his choice of friends, Martin was a stupid, white hating, chip on the shoulder black man who thought all his failures were the result of "The Man". If he had not been killed by Zimmerman, he'd probably be dead by now anyway, the victim of a black on black crime or by being shot by a real cop in the commission of a crime.
If this can happen to George Zimmerman (mild mannered Neighborhood Watch commander for a small Florida home development) then it can happen to any of us.
This case should frighten all of us. But not so much that we will refuse to get out of our car until the police arrive.

Yep, he was the scape goat for our clueless _resident to create evermore strife and division. It is chilling that this is happening for exactly what you stated; any of us could be in that chair and be railroaded by the never ending drumbeat of racism. It has truly effected my outlook as I see the pimps getting even more brazen.

That’s one thing that scares me.
The thing that scares me even worse is how easily and seamlessly and brutally a justice machine that was intended to keep us safe from crime can be pressed into service for whatever “social justice” goal happens to be in vogue this week.
