Nobody told Zimmerman where to go. He was not told to go back to his car. He was told he did not need to follow, and that was expressly not an order. he was not "on watch" He was on his way to the store and noticed somebody other than Frank Taffe, standing on Frank Taffe's yard, looking at Frank Taffe's house. This made his suspicious.

Zimmerman was on his way back to his car, if you believe his version of events (I do), when martin approached him out of the dark, from behind, and confronted him verbally, and committed battery.

Is that the place he first saw him that made him suspicious? Or was it the clubhouse? Or did he decide to call NEN after he saw him in FT’s yard? If that is the case, and i don’t know it is, but TM standing in the yard of a GZ’s friend is proof that this wasn’t a race thing. If I drive by my friends house, at night and see not that person hanging out in the yard, I’d be suspicious too.ANYONE would.

However, my theory may be all goofed up, lol. I have most things re: the timeline straight, except the whole clubhouse thing.
