You can't be a hard working capitalist, reach the top from the bottom and then parade the dear leader around at election time with get any respect from the DBM/hard left. They will kill you/eat yo for lunch every time.It only took them moments to destroy Paula. Didn't help that she employed the Trent Lott defense either. Apologizing all the time only spills tiny droplets of blood into the water. We know what they do and how they respond to blood. Weakness is alwsys stamped out. Boldness/ strength has to be dealt with.
Truth is she was out of her league. She was in a big league of vultures/sharks/Dracula types and didn't know how to play the game.
Gowdy was awesome he knows how to handle DBM questions. He will be an excellent replacement for goober should he decide to run for lindas seat.
Sure do miss this place.
Been on the road for a week.
Walked in the room to the sound of one of the kids (or it may have been the TA) saying, Well, the warmongers here.
Okay, I said, hows about I act out some of the names Im hearing?
Who wants to go first?
...didnt get an A in the class, but I didnt hear any more bullflop, either.
Good for you.
Those who haven’t faced it no nothing about what it’s really like.
They should be thanking those of us who have given a part of our life to protect their ignorance.
Divide and conquer. That is the modus operandi of community organizers.
Distract, deny, lie. Notice how ‘new’ issues arise — and older issues move to the clouds? Benghazi?
If one scandal is good, several are better — they keep the citizenry and the media occupied, while the czars continue their fundamental transformation of the America.
Well stated. It’s the Obama playbook at work.
Keep em confused, and feign ignorance of what is happening at your command.
The MSM will never get “at” the “ at “ part.
Brett Baier did a superior job on Benghazi, an hour special on Friday. Will probably be repeated.
Agree. It certainly tells the story in a more logical manner than anything we have seen so far, and clearly shows what the MSM is not covering.
Well, if you’re on the road, then that means you’re all done with that pneumonia of yours! Praise God!
We have to make certain the House KILLS the Senate’s BILL, without writing anything else that can go to reconciliation.
Crony capitalism. Government at all levels controls about 40% of our GDP. We are on the road to fascism.
You might find this interesting or not:
Shortly after the Soviet Union fell, I interviewed a former KGB agent who told me that they lost the Cold War because they had no answer for our defense contracting system.
No one could possibly deny the influence of cronyism during that period of federal (revolving door) contracting. But the system remained viable in that competitiveness was intense and oversight too (both inside the government and from a more reliable media).
It could be argued that even cronyism is value-neutral. After all, the ultimate metric of the Cold War (to borrow from Reagan) is that “we won and they lost.”
Shortly after 9/11 and the formation of homeland security as a wartime contracting operation, a lot of the old Cold War ethic seemed to return with a Manhattan Project-like feel to what was going on in DC. The chamber of commerce was part of that at the very least as a “facilitator.”
Since then, I sense there has been some drift or what they call “mission creep.”
Obama’s reliance on the Marxist “commissar system” in which politics trumps all could ironically end up making us the Soviets and give the entrepreneurial terrorists the edge we once had. After all, wasn’t bin Laden the ultimate venture capitalist and KSM the brilliant crony contractor?
One thing I’m (cynically) sure of: the cronyism will always be there to some extent.
