I wish I understood their ridiculous fear of “fundies” and “theocracy”.
Same technique used by the Party in “1984” to drum up the “two minutes hate” of the Emmanuel Goldstein character. The “fundies” are the Alinskyite strawmen.
Religious belief, walking the walk, making hard decisions for the right choices, right/wrong, taking a stand, and patriotism requires strong moral character. It’s a mirror being held up before them. They don’t like what they see. Solution: attack the “fundies” and break that mirror.
They are scared to death of God, because He will judge them. There is no appealing that judgment to a higher court.
The Evangelicals are the liberal Democrats stauchest opponents so the Dems are scared to death of them. Same thing for the Tea Party and the gun rights people. They have their brainwashed college students in their classrooms all day so they can fill their heads with North Korean style brainwashing.
To hell with it. They can't be reasoned with, so just go around them. Treat them like the overgrown children that they are. Just pat them on the head and send them on their way.
