This is hilarious. The VRA was always unconstitutional, and so obsolete by the time it was killed that any new version would have zero chance of survival.

They might as well try to force the Republicans to accept a mandatory number of Democrat House and Senate seats, by appointment from their party instead of elected.

If the Republicans states act soon to restore honesty to the election system, the inability of the Democrats to cheat in elections could result in an election massacre.

No, just proof that they are agenda driven. The part that was declared unconstitutional was so declared because it applied unequally to the states. All they have to do is pass something that essentially extends the Federal Government’s ability to set the standards for elections throughout the states, based on some fanciful criteria of “discrimination,” and we’ll be left with something much worse.

Adopt the guidelines used by MLB for selection of the All Star game starters. You know just fine tune what we already have.

And the GOP already has a 3 branch majority in more than half the states.

Ideally, in a republic, the voters choose their representatives. Currently, the representatives are working to choose their voters.

Sorry, jmcenanly, but that's decades behind the times. Lyndon Johnson and the Democratic [sic] party began to grow their own constituency with the so-called "great society." In the years since, they've carefully fed and nurtured the looter constituency until it's become the single largest and most dependable source of votes to be harvested; conversely, now that representatives of the Democratic [sic] party have figured out how to steal elections whole and complete, votes and voters are no longer a necessity.

Why waste time fertilizing voters and harvesting votes when a relative handful of digital experts can produce finished election tallies no one dares question?

I used to wonder why loudly self-proclaimed "progressives" pour such prodigious quantities of time, effort, and money, (much of it European,) into a scheme whose purpose is to enable them to rule millions of state serfs.

That was the wrong question. I was missing the obvious: the paired ultimate goals of dictatorship are wanton destruction and mass murder.

Check out the first three results in voter ID. San Fran Nan should try this approach.

The premise of the left is once again wrong. They are scheming to leverage the system to gain power. It has nothing to do with voting fairness.

I would love to see the voter rolls dumped. Automatically enroll every citizen over 18 as an independent. Those that wish to switch parties can. Voting should only be allowed with proof of identity. No proof of identity, no vote. Anyone involved in voter fraud would get a mandatory 10 year jail sentence and be forbidden to ever vote again with a penalty of 20 years. Enough screwing around, we are losing out country to communists and con men.

TRANSLATION-—

Right out of the Alinsky-Commie playbook....Get ready for a shitstorm of accusations that Republicans are racist. Pelosi will get nowhere as far as changing any laws. Her tactics are to get their lo-IQ lo-information voters stirred up and out to vote

BTW last election 2012 blacks voted at a higher percentage than whites. So much for their vote being surpressed

By “voting rights” Pelosi means the right to disenfranchise minority conservative voters. Blacks who vote Republican must have their voting power diluted. Likewise white votes must not carry as much weight as black votes. And, most importantly, fraudulent voting by leftwing voters must be easy and without consequence in order to insure conservative voters have no rights to a representative government. Preferential treatment for liberals and selective enforcement of the law will take care of the rest.
