What I wonder each day as we see this erosion of freedom is where is the unified opposition? The left is well funded and organized to lie cheat and steal.

Why is there not an organized right that is well funded and organized to preserve freedom?

We all come on here and scream and JimRob has created a great forum for it but at some point we’ll wish we had done more.

This is not a personal attack but only to point out we need massive financial and moral leadership to create a new party...maybe... but at the very least a powerful movement for recreating what God intended this nation to be.

We are the “silent majority”. As said many times.

We need to unify financially and spiritually. Whether you are Baptist, Catholic or Mormon? Stop the infighting and unify on the US Constitution and freedom.

We can all argue theology until we’re in the grave but freedom is the real issue and it is why this country was founded.

It’s very soon coming down to either 3rd Party or 4th Box.

I've wondered about that too, and share your frustration. I guess our most natural weakness lies in the fact that conservatives are by nature individualists, and cherish independence. Speaking for myself, I never cared to be part of clubs, associations, committees etc. I have no real ill will towards anybody...I just prefer my own space and the small circles I move in. Leftists from what I've observed (I once was one) have an obvious herd mentality, prefer 'movements' and thrive in bureaucracies. They also tend to be rapacious and love wielding power over other people, and imposing their beliefs and attitudes, being cruel and sadistic to any who resist them. My $0.02.

The organized right is being audited and denied by the IRS even as we type.

The left has a stake in control; it's immediately obvious to them that it is worth their money to invest in gaining control. They know damned well that they can't make it in a free market without that control; to them, power is survival. Even the extremely wealthy leftists who get their favors at bond auctions know that control of government buys them a 'predictable investment environment.' Many of them are inheritors of great wealth, and not producers. In that respect, they are every bit as much government dependents as the welfare cases. For Democrats investing in power is a matter of life and death, with a very favorable return.

The right wants to be left alone. The loss of freedom, being incremental, does not mean as much to us in the immediate sense as does making payroll, paying bills, etc. It seems counter-intuitive that we should have to pay good money to keep government off our backs. Further, the right is stingy, a legacy value of thrift and prudence. We don't pay for candidates about whom we are less than enthusiastic. It may be worth our money to pay for politicians who truly represent us in the long run, but there is obviously the risk of no return given the demographics, making that investment less attractive.

We get the government we pay for, and because of it, we are increasingly less able to pay. QED
