Really offensive. Not a smart move by the paper. A lot of devout Catholics in the Santa Fe area.

"Not a smart move by the paper."
It's described as an "alternative" newspaper, and therefore it probably caters to artsy liberals and will therefore be applauded for its "courage."

If the Santa Fe Reporter really wants to be edgy and courageous, why don't they grow a freaking pair and depict Muhammad in a Speedo? I'd be happy if someone-- anyone in the media-- asked Obama, Holder or Biden a real question.

The Santa Fe Catholics should organize boycotts of the major advertisers in the newspaper. If it is like most newspapers these days it won’t take much to push them under.

A “devout catholic” in New Mexico is someone with a Virgin Mary air freshener hanging from the rear view mirror as they shoot at you from a moving vehicle.
