I watched the session today with careful interest. The defense made sure the jury got a good view of GZ's bloody face and broken nose. And was careful to have Witness Moore repeat her testimony about GZ having his hand to the back of his head (which had been pounded into the earth by Martin).

Note also that Martin was face down. GZ apparent crawled out and left the body in position.

Too early to get too confident, but I am hopeful that justice will be served.

Early on in the trial they said that Zimmerman, not knowing his shot was fatal, flipped Martin over onto his stomach and pinned him down, all the while asking folks gathering around him to help him hold Martin down.

It's frustrating to hear these witnesses say they saw Zimmerman on top. They did. Just not at the beginning but at the end of the encounter between him and Martin.

One thing I did catch today - that photo of a bloody Zimmerman? Cops didn't take it as evidence. One of the witnesses was asked to identify Zimmerman on scene. She didn't want Zimmerman to see her face-to-face so she asked the cop to take a pic and she'll try to identify him that way.

If not for this bloody pic I think Zimmerman would certainly be railroaded.
