This morning's initial report, from Fox Boston, was light on detailsonly that officials were "looking into" Aaron Hernandez in regards to a double homicide in downtown Boston last summer. The Boston Globe now adds meat to the bones: at the very least, investigators believe Hernandez was present for a nightclub fight that led to two men being shot and killed.
Two law enforcement sources told the Globe, of Odin Lloyd's murder, The motive might have been that the victim knew [Hernandez] might have been involved" in the previous shooting.
In the early morning hours of July 16, 2012, according to investigators, a fight broke out at Cure nightclub in Boston. On one side, two men named Daniel Abreu and Safiro Furtado. On the other, a group that included Aaron Hernandez. Abreu and Furtado then left the club.
Abreu, who was driving, stopped at a traffic light on Shawmut Avenue, about to make a left onto Herald Street, when a silver or gray SUV with Rhode Island license plates pulled alongside the sedan. Someone from the SUV opened fire, killing Abreu, 29, and Furtado, 28.
Authorities never found the SUV involved in the murders, and the killings went unsolved.

They are even going back now to his UF days and some unsolved crimes that occurred in the Gainesville area.
If the UF administration knew about his gang ties, they’ve got a lot of ‘splainin’ to do.
Doesn’t he look like Adam Sandler?
Hernandez is a psychopath, imho. His demeanor at the arraignment appeared to be intentionally intimidating and thuggish. It seems that he was not well-liked by the Patriot’s organization or by his fellow teammates.
I generally don’t follow high profile homicide cases, but judging from what is known, and other evidence, like a .45 shell casing recovered from a rental car matching the Lloyd murder scene, Hernandez is toast. And killing to silence a witness in another homicide is needle material, if Massachusettes has the death penalty.
They don’t, unfortunately.
I’m sorry to say that we don’t have the death penalty here in Massachusetts.
Lol, you need to replace my keyboard....good one on the Dexter of the NFL....he indeed looks like a mass-nurderer. He shot a guy in the face this winter; who lived, and he was questioned about some killings on campus back in his college days.
Not to mention some deaths in Rhode Island and Boston, if I recall correctly.
It seems that the deaths in Boston were mentioned in this article, so my post was redundant.
Looks like he killed 3 people in Boston & shot one in Florida last year. They are looking back to his college days cause I guess he was questiond back then about a murder.
I think that we’re going to learn quite a bit about Hernandez in the future. I’m glad that the Patriots released him as quickly as they did.
Yup, and it sounds like his team-mates were not too happy with him. This dude is a very dangerous guy.
Agreed. I hope that justice is done.
Wow.
Biggest nitwits on TV.
