Witness: Trayvon Called George Zimmerman A ‘Creepy-A**,’ ‘White, Kill-My-Neighbors Cracker’
Mediaite ^ | June 26, 2013 | Tommy Christopher

On the third day of testimony in the George Zimmerman murder trial, the prosecution called what could be the most pivotal witness of all: Rachel Jeantel, the friend who was on the phone with 17 year-old Trayvon Martin until moments before Zimmerman shot and killed him. In the early part of her testimony, Jeantel described her conversation with Trayvon, in which he notices a man looking at him, a man Jeantel says Martin described as a “creepy, white, kill-my-neighbors cracker,” and a “creepy-ass cracker,” to which she joked that he “might be a rapist.”

The credibility of Jeantel’s testimony is crucial, because it establishes George Zimmerman as the aggressor, and contradicts the defense’s contention that Mr. Zimmerman did not pursue Trayvon Martin after the police dispatcher instructed him that they didn’t need him to do that. The phone call also represents a two-minute overlap between the time Zimmerman hung up woth the dispatcher, and when he made contact with Trayvon Martin.

The prosecution asked Rachel Jeantel what Trayvon Martin was complaining to her about on the phone, as he walked home.

“That a man just kept watching him,” she replied.

After the judge overruled a defense objection, the prosecutor continued, “Did you say anything back to him or did he say anything back to you?”

“Yes,” Jeantel replied. “I asked him how the man looked like. He just told me the man — the man looked creepy.”(continued)

How dare the neighborhood watch guy try to 'watch' suspicious people.
And to think he was 'looking creepy' and 'white' while he was doing it.

>>[[8:35 in tape “Are you listening?” to defense atty. West...(attitude gets worse. Refuses to come back to court tomorrow.)]]

>>The defenses’ response was classic “I’m sorry, cvould you repeat that, I was distracted” You could almsot see the blood boil in her at that point

Anyone who watched this knows that West is going to slam her like a midget wrestler tomorrow. He took his time, was very nice and calm, and just let her get pissed off. She’s going to come in there tomorrow with an attitude, and he’s going to womp her.

I am not sure it is hearsay. She is testifying to what she heard and what she said. That is direct testimony as to her experience.

I could be wrong. I am not a lawyer or judge. I have self respect and a conscience.

Jeantel owned West. He was meek as all get out. Maybe he didn’t want to push in fear of making the jury even more sympathetic to her. Or anger the judge, who has already shown she doesn’t like West. But you could tell by Jeantel’s body language and her arrogant attitude toward West that she knew she owned him. West is going to have a very tough time with her tomorrow.

Normally, it would be hearsay, because she is saying what she heard someone else say, and the court would require that the person who SAID it be called, because that person would be a more direct witness to the statement. She could then be called to verify the statement, or to discredit it.

But since he cannot be called, she can directly testify to what was said.

She would be direct if she was asked what else she HEARD on the phone call, like if she heard Zimmerman yell something — again because the more direct witness, Martin, is dead.

I went to that other site. From the way they are praising her, I thought they were talkng about a different person.

I think somebody told the defense team to “take a dive.”

I still don’t think there’s more than 2-3-4 valids pieces of evidence in this case other than the obvious; pics of GZ’s bloody head (not mentioned first for any reason) TM’s dead body, and the 911 recording. There’s nothing that’s IMO is tryable in a court of law, but in a society where the race (no pun intended) to the bottom is our obsession, I guess this is what we must focus on.

Zimmerman’s version of the story is that he admitted to following Trayvon. The dispatcher asked him to not do that.
He says he stopped and returned to his truck where Trayvon jumped him.

It will be interesting to see how Zimmerman holds up on the stand.

So far I haven’t seen anything that contradicts his story - although this has a certain vibe about it...cop wannabe runs into gangsta wannabe.

George IS part black!

The media labelled him “white hispanic” before learning of his black grandfather.
They did it solely based on his last name - and for their desire to have a “race” case to report about.

Zimmerman was suspicious of Martin.
Martin was suspicious of Zimmerman.

What counts is who attacked who first.
All this who escalated it stuff is a gray area.
This is what the Martin prosecution is hoping to do is prove that Zimmerman escalated things.

It is looking like a thin prosecution.

Zimmerman was very professional and calm.
Trayvon had a hair trigger and a chip on his shoulder.

Had Trayvon had a cooler head and not attacked Zimmerman, he would be alive today.

go pound sand!

You are to be presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a shadow of a doubt in this country.

George Zimmerman is INNOCENT and this is a political show trial. Zimmerman should NEVER have been charged!
