I just learn the other day from an restaurant owner the government now only allow so much salt etc to be used in the food or they will be shut down, so the next time you visited your local Greek diner don’t be surprise if the food seems flat.

I also noticed McDonald’s fries are no longer salted you have to ask for salt.

Cleburne’s Cafeteria in Houston used to have great food. The last time we ate there the food was bland. My wife wrote the owner. He called her and said he was devastated, that his immigrant father had built the business but he had to cut down on the salt. He didn’t say it was on government orders but we suspect it was.
